Just gonna note here that today marks 25 years since one of Pearl Jam’s landmark shows at Soldier Field - one of the first real must have bootlegs of theirs.

Snark aside, it’s possible that second Fenway show 2018 actually was the final Pearl Jam concert

I still listen to gigaton semi-regularly, but have pretty much given up on PJ at this point. Would it have killed them to do a few live interviews or ed do some solo stuff? jeez.

This diatribe leads directly into an unpopular Pearl Jam opinion...
So when I run I rely on my Spotify account to keep me going, but usually about once a week I mix it up and go on an exercise bike for 35-45 mins where I instead rely on Pearl Jam live videos (mostly because their songs tend to range from 2:45-5:00 which perfectly balances the lower tension/higher tension intervals I am doing). Anyways, today I was watching the fan made video of the Philly 2 2016 show, starting with Garden, then Deep, Release, Breakerfall, Corduroy...and then I heard Let the Records Play...which sounded GREAT. This song really came further alive in the live setting, cementing it as that song I love that everyone else hates.
Note: I have probably listened to this show 4 or 5 times and it is one of my go to bootlegs so there’s that.
This song was completely off my radar until I heard it live @ Memphis in 2014 - completely 180'd my opinion of it. It ended up being one of the many personal highlights of that show...
For my random thought - driving into work today listening to my ipod - Yellow Ledbetter from the Tibetan Freedom Concert disc came on. This has got to be one my all time favorite versions of this song. Even though it doesn't have the "traditional" Mike solos - I love the way Ed sounds on it and really like the "jam" at the end. Just absolutely love this version....

Seems Ed is going to be on a podcast called Daddy Issues tomorrow.
Could be super fun.
As opposed to an Ed appearance the podcast Call Her Daddy which would be super awkward
