In the middle of reseasoning my main two skillets.

i bought one of these things. it's called a "Frywall," and it's designed to prevent splatters from greasy food. i was really reluctant, because it looks gimmicky and actually got started on Shark Tank. but man, i'm a convert. it's made of silicon, and fits right into the pan. it folds up when not being used, and is dishwater safe.

but does it only it into an 8" pan (or whatever you're using)?

Good idea but looks a little clunky if you have to reach in there to flip something?

i thought so too, but it's actually not. it's pliable, and so if you're short with stumpy arms (sorry chud), you can bend the sides to flip and it will shape back into form. but for a normal person, it's no trouble because the sides are tilted instead of vertical.

i bought a 4 quart cast iron pot the other day that was unseasoned...im in the process of doing my first ever one right now

yep..that or in the kitchen....i bought it mostly for baked beans inside the smoker
