There’s sooooo much extra stuff with the video content. Stuff never even seen before on any of the extras elsewhere. I thank you for putting them in front of me wease. They’re an essential own for any fan but also anyone even interested in film at all. So thank you.
You read The Secret History of Star Wars yet?
Is that the chris Taylor one?
No. Michael Kaminski. E-book only. I sent the link for it to you a few years ago. Lucasfilm kept him from publishing it, somehow, so he just offered it up for free.
Oh you did!! I’ll get to that thanks I forgot about it. On my laptop somewhere
The chris taylor one was fantastic. How Star Wars conquered the universe. It’s more about cultural impact told over loads of different aspects. Really really worthwhile.

I wanted something like this before I saw the film. But no. It undermines all their arcs and renders all the films pointless. As well as making Rey utterly pointless and without agency.
(This is so fuckin well made though. Really well done)

That was cool. The whole sequel trilogy just feels like a giant missed opportunity the more I think about it.

That doesn't change anything. They were there in voice. This just puts them there visually.

We know that but I’m coming at it from the other way. People would have complained no matter what. And as I said I wished we got this too. Truly. But it robs Rey completely.
Ok maybe it could have been shot in such a way that it didn’t. And it would have finally killed that ‘she’s all powerful blah blah’ crap but still

The money they spent on Galaxy's Edge alone makes the idea of dropping the sequel trilogy from cannon unthinkable. Though they should have based those lands on the original trilogy from the jump. I do believe that there could be a schism between Lucas loyalists and Kathleen Kennedy's people....and maybe the Lucas people floated the non cannon idea....but its not gonna happen.
