The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.

Massachusetts is doing a great job keeping key factors in check; today's positivity rate is 2.5% 7-day average and NY Times is reporting MA's reproductive number is currently 0.74.

Meanwhile, in good news
so if we wear masks we can do outdoor concerts again
I hope not. I'm looking for a refund on that impulse buy of Black Crowes tickets.
Obviously your mileage may vary but I had more personal space at the Philly protests than at any outdoor concert I've ever been to. I also think circulation is a big part--standing next to the same person in one spot vs. walking all over the city with small windows of exposure probably have different risk factors.

How many tests get run daily?
That positive rate is about where IL has been but we still have 5,6,7 hundred cases a day. The difference being that tests run daily here are usually 25-30k while Massachusetts ran like 5k today. That seems pretty whimpy for a state with a city the size of Boston.
The lowering death numbers are interesting. Guess we just need to WAiT TWo Weekz.

True I didn't look at MA's total testing.
Really thinking about quitting my job and creating TWoWeEEKzaGO.com where I'll juxtapose headlines from two weeks ago with today's graphed numbers. edit: I'll then monetize it as the "verb_to_trust" widget for like yahoo news to use and with the royalties you and I both will have our therapy sessions paid for!

pretty wild to think that Florida is headed to an unmitigated disaster
wonder what it will take for that governor to change course

of all the times in the last 20 years I or those I know have considered the ‘I am moving to Canada / Europe’ fantasy (e.g. after GWB re-election) this time, given the unmitigated pandemic exacerbated by inept leadership, might be the most appropriate yet
