The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
The restaurants in this town have not figured out how to continue creating a good dish in these circumstances. Every instance of either delivery or curbside has been a terrible mistake on our parts.

That's interesting. What do you think the root of that problem is? What's the stay-at-home situation like in your area? Are restaurant workers still qualifying for unemployment? Problems in the supply chain right now?

I've generally been happy with my food, but jesus, even the places who had robust carry out before are big fuck ups at this process.
I went to Dominos a few weeks ago, and they came to my car 3 times to ask what I was waiting on before bringing it to me. This was AFTER I got the notification that my food was ready and had pushed the "I'm Here" button for them to bring it out.
I've been to two places that flawlessly brought food out when they said they would and put it into the open back door of my van. Everywhere else? Shit.

Im really not sure. We generally dont have delivery in Vail so thats an entirely new system for most restaurants. The only places that used to deliver were pizza joints.
So the entire "food to go" concept is new for most establishments here. We are ahead of most other areas in the country because we locked down super early. Cases are on the rise a bit but we are open for business. Most restaurants have social distancing in place.
We went to one of our favorite breakfast spots the other day and it took an hour and a half to get seated. The food wasn't as good either.

Curbside. No question.
GrubHub and UberEats are fucking restaurants.
But what about delivery direct from restaurants?
Does that still happen?
I figure the restaurant would have no preference. I guess if they do less delivery and the driver is a restaurant employee, they'd find other work for that person to do.
One of our favorite local places will deliver within a five block radius, and so far it's always been their best bartender coming by on his bike. Feels good to know that our tips are going straight to him.
