So, my daughter just got back home from going out to eat with one of her best friends. She was explaining how her friend is the total opposite of her parents politically. Apparently, they're YUGE Trump supporters. Well, her mom is so stressed out by the Black Lives Matter movement that she wants to get a machine gun and kill all the blacks so she doesn't have to deal with them anymore. And this person is a first grade teacher in our school system. Her dad teaches seventh grade science at one of the middle schools here. Apparently, he shares mom's views but isn't as vocal as she is. And we've done stuff socially with these people. This has disturbed me quite a bit. Thank Christ their kid has more sense than they do.

She'll grow into it.
I really don’t think so.

Disney's changing Splash Mountain from a "Song of the South" theme to a "Princess and the Frog" theme.
Probably a good thing but why do they need to make a thing of it. Just makes the change and get on with it.
Everyone wants to show how progressive they are being.
This is one of the most valid gripes from the opposition. Virtue signaling like this is so blech. I know I'm guilty of it and it's something I work on all the time.
The newest episode of Reply All talks about this and it's fantastic. I'd highly recommend it for anyone interested.
Disneyland completely changing one of its most iconic rides is always going to be a story. Why not let it be known? Why not let people know that the change is a good change and that it matters? I understand the virtue signaling, but also feel like things like this can help to emphasize and support the message.

If people have been complaining about it, why wouldn't Disney tell those people that they're addressing it?

Will it be racist or progressive for white women to flash their boobs at the camera?
A better question is did anyone know that it was SotS themed to begin with?

My co worker is at the Wisconsin Dells this week with his family. People enjoy horrible places.
Back when I was 19, I spent 6 months in the town next to there (Mauston). The Wisconsin Dells was the only place within 90 min or so to go when the boredom became unbearable.

... Yes? I intuited as much as a teenager growing up in Florida. It's not that subtle
