Is this “Sonic Reducer” from vinyl or from the promo cd that it was on? I have been looking for the cd promo rip a long time.
The CD promo
Sonic Reducer? It's from vinyl.
Don't mind him
It's from the same source as the version on the Complete Rarities collection, which is a "Westwood One: On The Edge" promo CD from 1993 (first shared by the great JasonA)

This sounds great. Thanks!
Does the Sonic Reducer from the original fan club vinyl also have the guitar cutting out in the intro? I've never heard a version of this song that didn't have that.

Yes it does - I think it’s intentional or at least just the way it was recorded.

Didn’t the Dead Boys version do that, too?

We've had this version for over a decade! JasonA shared it on his 1991-2008 Complete Rarities set - no idea where he managed to get it though - pjcollectors doesn't even have it listed. Every compilation I've made with this track has used this digital FLAC version
I saw this just recently too, so we will be updating this set with digital FLAC versions of the tracks available.
There is also this 'Lost Dogs production disc' that has unfortunately never surfaced in trading circles (to my knowledge). It may or may not include non-vinyl versions - a bit suspect given the first three tracks seem to contain side A and B of the singles on the same track.

Ive been listening to this set the last two days. I don't think I have played the fanclubsingles in order for a long time... Some random thoughts.
-Angel,Sonic Reducer and Happy When Im crying'' need to be on Lost Dogs 2. -Strangest Tribe is such an amazing song... -That performance of 'History never repeats'' is just lovely! -I hope there's a studio recording of 'Last Soldier'. It's a lovely simple track -Jeff's cover of 'I just wanna have something to do' is soo creepy and kinda foreshadowed his solo work. -Sleepless nights is great with Glen Hansard, but with Beck its amazing -Someday at Christmas. Jeff is on fire here! Tight playing -Love Reign Over Me might be their greatest recorded cover -I love dumb b-sides such as 'Santa God' -Santa Cruz is not as good as Last Soldier -Turning Myst proves that Jeff is not the worst singer in the band. Kind stupid song but would have been ok if Ed did the vocals -Hawai 78. This version does not have the power of that 2006 full band version, that version is one of the best covers PJ has ever done IMO. -Falling Down. I need a studio recording sooo bad..... -Shattered is by far the worst thing the band has ever officially released... -Pendulumorphosis is -Why did they release stupid live tracks on these singles when they have stuff like that early Wishing Well cover in the vaults? -Those last two singles are great! Kinda sad they stop these series but they went out on a high note.
