I have to hand it to you, man - excuse me, person - you are fiercely committed to your cause.

Common sense isn't a cause, friend - excuse me, person. But thanks anyway. I know that must have been really difficult for you to type out. :heartbeat:

Please calm down.

ok bammer

I've been drinking a lot of Four Roses lately, mostly because it's decent and inexpensive. I've grown to appreciate it. But I miss some of the better quality bourbons. Might have to splurge (relatively) on something else in the next few weeks. A little Eagle Rare or something. Nothing too crazy.

yeah the regular 4 roses here is literally $18 a bottle and its good stuff...this weekend I'm making a trip to total wine and picking up stuff we've never tried before..i don't know what its going to be, just going in and grabbing what looks interesting

four roses single barrel is my go-to.

although funnily, even though bourbon was my gateway and the only brown liquor i could do before, i much prefer scotch.

Crown is totally fine if uninspiring. Basil Hayden's is far and away the better whiskey, though. But BH is also a lot more expensive (at least in my neighborhood). Crown is decent and carries an unoffensive price tag.

Basil Hayden's is worth its price tag, though.

Ha.

But I like the idea of a blind test between these two. I’m doing it. Will report back.

That was kinda fun.

Between the two, Basil was clearly a Ten ... while Crown was merely - wait for it - The Mixer.

I realize it’s a joke how far behind I am on this, but I’m really enjoying a neat whiskey (with or without ice) here as I wind down in the evening.
