The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
New album is a little long at times but what 1975 album isn’t. It’s all over the map but in a good way. Really loving the songs that harken back to their early sound. That first album is still my fave, I think they’re at their best when it’s music to dance to.
Roadkill is my fave so far.

I wrote the following on ARTV's lazy negative review that says it's over-long meandering pretentiousness that has no clear intention or coherent vision:
"I mean, Notes On A Conditional Form is the perfect title for an unedited "mood board" / playlist of 22 disparate and jarring "notes" for an album that was never satisfyingly "finished", making the whole project exactly what they promised, whether we like it or not (and gosh I really do)
and people (read: you) really need to stop accusing Matty of being #fakedeep in 2020 when he literally was exactly the same in 2013, what band have you been listening to?"
I think that if you can compare ABIIOR to OK Computer, this might be their Kid A / Amnesiac
my favourite new track is "Nothing Revealed / Everything Denied"
George Daniel is my MVP on this one; the man knows how to programme UK Garage bangers like a boss (MJ Cole comes to mind)
this album is so nostalgic for the 90s / early 00s

just got through my first listen. I can see how some might say it's a bit long. Some of the tracks are very similar to songs they've already done and with 6 "interlude" songs, it can seem like it goes on for awhile. Overall, it's a thumbs up album.
And Roadkill and If You're Too Shy are my fav tracks.

I really like this mess of an album. They are really a great band and not afraid to take chances. They could have trimmed this to 12 or 13 tracks plus b-sides and everyone would be saying this is the second coming.
