Cheers Joe.
I've been doing a full catalogue listen to The Cult and they really hit the ground running. Dreamtime is a wholly realised debut. In fact each of their first 4 albums are such unified and complete listens, they whole heartedly committed to each album and the production values. Love is reverb drenched goth heaven. Electric is balls to wall rock. And Sonic Temple is smart hair metal. Man, I loe the toms on Sonic Temple.
I doubt there's too much of The Cult that I need outside of Pure Cult but I'm enjoying this listen.
btw before this The Cult Self Titled was my favourite album and I think it still is. Pure Cult must be in my top 5 greatest hits compilations though.

Man The Cult has some great snare and guitar tones. And some mighty phat bass too. I love this album.

I've been poking my way through random songs in Destroyer's catalog lately and I'm thinking it's time to get serious and dig into some albums front to back. Around the time Trouble in Dreams came out, former RMer dyingonahilltop made a killer year end compilation with "My Favorite Year" on it, and I've always loved that song. Nothing else by him immediately hooked me like that one did back then, but I guess I'm in a different head space now.

Bejar is good, Kaputt is a masterpiece, pretty unfamiliar with most of his other stuff, but I've liked everything I've heard.
