I’m back, and the first thing I see are the porgs. Awful. Thankfully we go straight to Luke and R2D2. It’s a shame this movie isn’t better. Had great potential.

Now the chase and vice admiral Holdo, and eventually a sort of mutiny. Some really poor choices being made with our time here.

Started right in the middle of a really rough spot in the movie, tough morning for me.

The Poe, Finn and Rose scenes together are painful to watch.

Lesson one on Ahch-To. «Every word in that sentence was wrong.»

«That light does not belong to the jedi.»

The darkness part of the island feels a bit cheap to me. But otherwise a good scene.

I understand why they would focus on the main theme of Canto Bight, but not only is it poorly acted and part of a weak storyline, ruthless greed and slavery is shown in much better ways in other movies.

Flashbacks in Star Wars are a new thing, but I like it. Wish they had spent more time on it, perhaps even opened the movie with Luke’s schooling of Ben and his other students.

This movie is a little worse than I remember.

Now we’re getting close to the Snoke dying scene. Knowing what we know, that scene is even worse than it was.

The scene with Rey and Kylo fighting the red guards has been praised, but it’s really them fifghting nobodies. It has no real tension. There is no resolution afterwards, just a return to the status quo, and a red herring ln Rey’s parentage.

Holdo attacking the lead ship is awesome. Weird that it didn’t hurt or kill Finn or Rose at all though.

Finally we’re at Crait. Some really cool scenes here, and wonderful cinematography.

The scene between Luke and Leia is perfect. It’s also better in the context of the trilogy.

TROS really made the Luke scenes in TLJ better. Luke on Crait was great this time.

First time putting TROS on at home here. Last saw it twice in the cinema in late 2019.

We go straight into action, and no silly jokes. Kylo destroys those who stand in his way,

Palpatine is back. Not the best scene, but it does the job.

Poe, Finn and Chewie in the Falcon is an excellent choice.

Lightspeed Skipping is a cool new concept, building on what happened in TLJ.

Star Wars on planets woth a lot of forests work really well for me. You get that perfect mix of action, adventure, sci-fi, but the serenity of nature.

«Dark secrets. Cloning. Secrets only the dark order knew.»

That could have been better.

The Rey and Kylo connection feels better in this movie. Maybe because it was established, but I think their interaction seems more natural and better scripted as well.

Lando is back. 8-)
