Is it Stop or Stopped?

Bennetts tunes really allowed Jeff to deliver the kind of vocal melodies that would get under your skin.

i think it's stopped based on what bennett released in 2002. but i remember at a jeff tweedy living room show way back in like 2005 he signed a setlist and wrote a note at the bottom he's not playing "venus stop the train."

I always thought that was an added b-side to special editions of Summerteeth. I might be wrong though.

Edit: A short research shows I'm most probably wrong. So nevermind.

I know there is an alternate take of A Shot in the Arm that is also a part of the record. I actually don't own it on vinyl though, only physical copy is a cdr a friend burned me in high school.

Jesus Ect. will always be a 9/11 song. Makes sense to hear it now.

I associate Ashes of American Flags with 9/11. Despite both songs being written before 9/11, they still fit.

The whole album is this weird mashup of graduating high school and 9/11 for me. It probably would have been a lot more fun graduating in 1984 and rocking Van Halen or something.

that lip-synced performance of the new song on the Late Show last night was embarrassing.

Has there been any news on a Summerteeth LP repress? Their site is out of stock and prices are real high on discogs.

I’ve not heard anything about a repress, but Tweedy more or less acknowledged that it’s too glossy on a podcast, so I’m ready to hold out hope for a remaster

I was hoping they would give it the deluxe treatment a la Being There. I wanted to add it to my collection and noticed the same thing you did: out of stock. Some of my Wilco all timers are on here. A Shot in the Arm, Via Chicago, She's A Jar.

Summerteeth expanded edition!

I’m digging the “Slow Rhodes” version of Summer Teeth.
