I just had no idea. Never got to see Fugazi live, and didn't enjoy the Evens show I saw very much. But Joe killed it.

Both albums by The Messthetics are so good. Been hitting me just right of late. Brendan & Joe are just such a perfect pairing as a rhythm section. Highly recommended for any & all Fugazi fans.

Ian has an in-depth interview in the latest Tape Op. Talks about his experiences in recording studios. Excited to dig in and see what was happening internally that made them shift from records that sounded like shit to records that sounded good (around IOTK/Red Medicine).

You're just now getting to it? I liked it a lot. I can't remember the song but it ended with an especially cool fuzzed out jam. I'll have to revisit it tomorrow while I'm sitting around watching the world burn.

Yeah when it came out I did a half-hearted listen. But I spun it today after seeing their name in Eddie's studio.

I was not a huge fan of The Evens, but I could see myself coming to love this record.

Reaaally feeling these guys lately. These guys were poets. Lyrics to The Argument hitting me in some new ways. Taking me right out of the election anxiety, and back into the piss-and-vinegar defiance of my youth.

Im a huge Evens fan. Hugeeee. Mainly maybe because i saw them live, and it was the only time i saw Ian. Not sure. Anyway, i have the first on cd and never opened it, not sure why. Maybe today is the day yeah.

Fugazi is a very good choice for today.
