Since 2020, is kicked in the dick and 2021 is the 10 year anniversary of Pearl Jam's Destination Weekend, should we be expecting more great shit for 2021?

Let's start planning the festival!

I legitimately think the whole PJ20 celebration set the band back for much of the past decade.

It did set them back nearly a decade. They stopped focusing on new music and sort of realized that they could more or less have people come to them in a large setting. PJ20 begot Lightning Bolt (good enough), Wrigley 5x, Fenway 4x, and Safeco 2x. I know a bunch of those were excellent shows but the 2010s felt more like a Rolling Stones victory lap than a band pursuing their next reaches collectively. The 20s seem to be much more promising.

I don't see why they can't walk and chew gum.

Maybe it’s like a slugger who can’t find their groove after participating in the Home Run Derby?

I really think that having a home studio will make it easier for them to turn ideas into songs and songs into albums. Ironically, the relaxed nature of booking studio time now may make the album process quicker and more efficient.
