Lullaby-esque track. Pretty good, actually. WUH WUHHH sound? Weird, but pretty good. They tuned and mic'd Matt's drums beautifully on this one, the tom's really sing.

I super underestimated this song initially. I mocked it and called it a pee break song. It’s definitely not that. I’ve grown to really like it’s change of pace on the album and everything is recorded and presented beautifully. It’s a really lovely song with some weirdly twisted lyrics. But Gigaton is so outstanding that this falls near the bottom of my favorites. It actually might be last, and yet I still really appreciate it and am growing to love it. It shows how magnificent Gigaton is in my view. I genuinely love every song.
I listened to Gigaton today, out of order. Started with Buckle Up. And I just loved it so much. I wonder if part of what is standing in my way with this song is sequencing and context.

I'm fine with its placement, but also think if there's one song that might benefit most from being slotted elsewhere, this is probably the one.
I don't think I'd hate it as the opener, hearkening back to Sometimes, but with its tone of cheerful horror.

Gotta admit, I love your enthusiasm for this album. I love it a (giga)ton too.

I love how its sequenced. I think Gigaton is their best sequence album for sure.

Buckle Up should not be between Take the Long Way and Comes Then Goes. When I listen to the album in full, Buckle Up disappoints. When I listen to Buckle Up on it's own, I like it so much more. The only thing I can take away from that is that the song is in the wrong place, for me.
Tracks 1-6 are perfection. Just like No Code. Then it starts to get a little wonky.
