MFC is a fun little unambitious track, and it’s a perfectly placed segue into the wind-down section of Yield, but it’s not better than.
couple of lovely lyrics though
I really like "Never Destination" but "MFC" has that indescribable Yield-ness to it that just exists in another stratosphere for me. Compositionally the song may fit within that "scrappy Vedder rocker" format that has been his calling card for so long -- you can kind of hear this in the live versions. But much like "Leatherman" there is a lightness and easy pace to the studio version that makes it feel like it isn't really at home in that category.

Yeah, it's light as a feather. Not many fast-paced PJ songs like it.
I have always been a big fan and a vocal supporter of MFC. I still think it’s great. I also think Never Destination is probably better.
This, but I like "MFC" better. As Kevin Davis said, it's got a light, breezy spirit that's never really been replicated. But "Never Destination" is a good song in its own right.

I don’t know how to properly rank this song on the album yet. I may have it too low. I do love listening to it every time. The Petty outro is the perfect icing on the cake.

I've got QE, Who Ever Said & 7:00 above this one. This or Dance... is next for me.
I feel like I want to go there, but then I keep listening and every song makes such a strong case. It’s difficult. But this song is absolutely one of my new favorites, that’s for sure.
