so the boy and i just went for a walk when the sun just set. outside of venus, which is unbelievably bright right now, betelgeuse is super bright. we also noticed that you can actually see the reddish/orange hue, particularly compared to the other star in orion's shoulder.
i also found out that the star is pronounced "beetle juice."
