But I never really cared enough to look into it.

OK I’m joining this crew I guess. Over cable and the equipment costs and other bullshit. I have until the 19th to cancel the cable service so giving the YouTube TV trial a go. Liking it so far! Our cable package had HBO so I’ll have to do HBO Now instead, but it’s still way cheaper than cable.

YoutubeTV is great. You won't miss cable.

We couldn’t figure out how to get it to go higher than 720p

Cable channels are only 720p or 1080i. The compression is the issue for some channels.

Youtube TV looks better on my 4K TV via a 4K Firestick than cable does.

Comcast said "hey, have a free Xfinity Flex" and said sure why the hell not. got it today and the remote is sluggish as hell until you pair it, which is *after* the wifi password input so it's a definite pita.

so far it's not bad but I've not been able to use it too much, it's only been a couple hours.

Hey guys.

So, my parents got rid of Direct Tv due to cost. They ended up utilizing YouTube Tv and really loved it. One of the main things was that they were bale to watch Fox Sports North and all the hockey games (Go wild!). However, YouTube TV is dropping FSN and im thinking they'll know want to switch services.

HulU tv apparently has this channel. I've never seen or used Hulu TV but is it pretty much the same concept? Will they get all of their local news channels etc?

Not sure about HuluTV, but also check out Sling. You can get local with it and also I think they have all of the regional FSN channels.

They have a smart TV that they use. Is sling a separate component? That would maybe stress them out...

Sling is a good choice, though it doesn't have as many total channels.

I believe SLing TV lost Fox regional sports channels as well.

We had SlingTV, then moved to YoutubeTV when Sling lost Fox Sports Midwest. Now we'll be switching to Hulu Live in a day when YoutubeTV loses Fox Sports Midwest.

Stupid.
