Credit where credit is due. You hated Bregman before it was cool.

Though even knowing what we know now about 2017, I would be very surprised if you wouldn't welcome him to your Mariners lineup if he joined tomorrow.

I am not going back to check out how this all played out, but in the Trumpian timeline of quotes we have this about the 2019 homer to end the ALCS:

First argument - Altuve is a great sportsman for the game. He didn’t cheat, he is an honorable religious man who refuses to allow the crowd and others to see him without his jersey on because he is humble and everything we want our sports stars to be.

Second argument - it’s not that he’s too humble (but believe that if you want to because it’s good for his image even if not wholly believable), but it’s because he got a bad tattoo. Dude makes multiple multiple millions of dollars a year, gets a tattoo (sort of runs against that whole super humble and extra religious thread of reasoning), is dissatisfied with it, but keeps it and accepts it without further alteration. He just needed to be mindful not to expose the masses to that tattoo in a critical moment sending the Astros to the World Series because THAT is what I would be worried about if I just hit a homerun to send my team to the World Series - whether my bad tattoo might be noticed on social media. That checks out.

Gotta say, cant remember a time in any sport where players were openly BLASTING the commissioner the way MLB players are right now, even during work stoppages.

I haven't been paying much attention to sports news lately. Have they punished anyone on the Red Sox for this yet? If not, it is going to be the same or less as the Astros, right? So are people going to be freaking out about that, too?

No official word on the Red Sox, but the word is they didn’t find much on them and it will be a minor punishment.

I mean, they didn't punish the Astros for cheating at all at all so...

My guess is they have to wait until 4 to book Tee times at Spring Training instead of noon.

I'm sure it was just an evil rogue intern in Boston too.

I think the Red Sox players were probably a lot less talkative than the Astros players were.

There are plenty of guys I wouldn’t want to see join my team and Bregman tops that list. Fuck that guy. Bigger douche than Russell Wilson, which is saying a lot.

Cora will manage the 2021 Red Sox.

At this rate the 2021 Red Sox will be boston dynamics robots.

Bregman is SUCH a little bitch, and wm, you have to admit that Crybaby Correa is approaching his level.

They're just a couple of talented kids living out their baseball dreams.

Happy for Yuli, but I wonder if he gave a discount because all the other clubhouses are full of guys who hate him?

Could also be because he was terrible this year and he's 36.

I doubt that very much. Yuli is desired by GMs league-wide for his prowess and renown on the diamond.
