The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
I just saw a video a couple of days ago that had Stevie Wonder sitting in with them and they played Superstition. It was fucking amazing.
A Concert for Charlottesville, that was really something indeed. I don't believe he was on the bill along with a few others that day, also the first time Butch played since leaving the band.

Three shows in a row, well the make-up one went smoothly, where the weather was a significant factor. I feel like this is a newer occurrence as I've been through some pretty wicked storms, especially in Saratoga Springs.

The thumbnail didn't load for that clip and I thought they played at just a regular Jiffy Lube, like the Tiny Desk Concert or something. Was actually more interested in that...
rumor has it they are playing atlantic city instead of camden, which im not against bc the best dmb show i ever saw was in atlantic city. but still, they've played camden every summer tour since like the 90s.

I've been to a few shows in Camden and have seen some great performances but goddamn getting there (or even worse leaving there) became such a hassle.

pro tip: never leave as soon as its over. tailgate round 2.
I appreciate that they announced this, or even did it at all, along with announcing the tour reschedule along with added dates for 2021. The large non-official DMB message board is pretty rough in the touring off-season and surely would have been unbearable if the tour details were put off any longer, hell it was essentially already there.

regarding the new tour, and the world at large in 2021: dmb is playing camden the last friday and saturday in june. it looks like life is returning to normal.
ive been in and out of the show tonight, but they sound like they are on top of their game. watching carter beauford up close is always fun. dude is a maniac.

Not that I am going to see a live show again it was nice to see them add Camden for 2021, though still seeing Mohegan Sun over the Meadows is odd.
I've actually been listening to a bunch of DMB, getting some shows archived and having the two live series and Sirius captures playing in the kitchen/dining area often with all this downtime. Some of the releases have been fantastic to revisit but I have found fewer and fewer redeeming qualities in later ones, also the newish releases and annual discs being solely of the new era is straight up bullshit.

the next phish 'dinner and a movie' webcast is from 7/21/97 virginia beach, featuring leroi on a couple songs. of note:
Quote:
The jam with LeRoi included a segment where he played two saxes, Trey played three guitars, Mike played two basses and the Cracklin’ Rosie cymbals, Fish had four drumsticks and Page was lying across his keyboards playing as many as possible. LeRoi also teased the Woody Woodpecker theme during the jam.
