I finished this up a week ago, and it's still sticking with me. It's one of my favorite shows I've ever seen, and I think I prefer to many of the dramas that got bigger attention (attention they certainly deserved) in the previous decade. There's one or two particular moments in the finale that just hit me harder than any other episode of television I've seen.
It might be the best, start to finish, show I've ever seen. Even The Wire had a sub par final season.
Its highs were more understated that some other top tier shows, but it is certainly up there in the top tier.
It just stayed consistently good all the way through, and has one of the best finales I've ever seen.
The second to last season was just ok, but otherwise I agree.

For the amount of plot points the writers are juggling by the point I’m at in season four, you’d think the show would have gone off the rails by now. But nope, it’s as good as ever.
