Amazing.

The sequence with the old lady is terrifying in the book and looks so well done here. It gave me chills.

Oh bring it.

Sweet Jeebus. That was awesome!! I can’t wait for this!!

I need to read the book. I’ve had it for probably 20 years. Just one I never got around to reading.

It's overlong and inconsistent. There's so little tension and it just goes on and on and on. And then there's the gang bang... :shake:

Its long yeah, but its so good...the stories about derry, about evil in many forms, the terror, tension...

Yeah, the gangbang is bonkers, but its King in classic weird bonkers mode. I love when he does that stuff.

Well that’s disconcerting. My then 13 year old has read it.

Can't wait. As adults, the losers are way f'd up like the lot of us. I think it's his best novel.

Coming in to the home stretch of the year I feel Chapter Two may be the sole film I see on screen so I though I'd give Chapter One a whirl; the teasers for Chapter Two really caught my fancy and I won't say I was disappointed overall but:

a) casting the kid from Stranger Things was a distraction
b) it simply wasn't scary

The former is totally on me, had I not known of Stranger Things it would not be an issue but I do and it was. As for the latter, the film looked great but nope, it really wasn't horror any way you dice it. I was talking with a friend earlier today and her response was "fuck that movie" but she doesn't exactly have a penchant for horror.

I am intrigued as to Chapter Two as a story and perhaps the big screen will deliver more in the effects realm but idunno.

Now, if you do have Netflix I cannot recommend Gerald's Game enough.

Kinda weird they cast a girl who looks just like Amy Adams in the first movie, then got Jessica Chastain to play her adult version.
