So, what, reconsider May’s deal? I doubt there’s any hope of an extension without a new public vote, there’s no time or wiggle room to forge a new deal, and you just took your “we’ll walk away from the negotiation table” card off the table (not that said card was worth shit, at this point).
That’s what I mean. The UK has no power to prevent a no deal Brexit save for making a deal. This was ultimately just a vote count to see who still reallllly wants to make one, and all it’s done is show that nearly half of the people voting to accept or refuse any proposed deal don’t exactly give a shit if there’s one at all. How could you possibly pass any deal under those circumstances? You’d have to find one that literally every remaining fence sitter approves of, and you won’t.
So the UK has just confirmed that it doesn’t now and probably won’t ever have the power to pass a deal, but has also shown that it definitely, definitely doesn’t want to not have a deal. Party on, everybody.

i cant make sense of it but i think as it stands...they dont want the Working Agreement May and EU have on the table, they dont want to leave without a deal and the EU have said the WA is the only deal on offer.....
* which they seem reticent to do, absent evidence of a focused British strategy that seems impossible to procure, with a lawmaker group that is nearly 50% prepared for no deal at all.
I can’t imagine the EU is eager to invite any extension which will inject Brexiteer voices into the Union’s own elections in May.

Don’t laugh but it comes back to Putin again. He’s already activated In Italy and Poland to block any extension. The aim to keep the uk in past European elections in June. This allows farrage etc a further platform.
I’ll find the links and come back. Serious Journalist covering it alone. Cadwallader from the UKs channel 4.

Exactly. Put it in context. Brexit has been verified as the trial run for the derailing of the Clinton/Trump race. Oddly enough joe Rogans last episode has a specialist on talking about it in much more narrow terms.

This is our prime minister. I can’t stand the guy or his politics. He’s an Irish version of a Tory and he had posters of Margaret thatcher on his wall as a teen.
But I can’t fault him or this government in their handling of brexit. Uk government are doing nothing like as much as simple messages like this. Never mind the support structures being implemented

Project fear has turned into project shift the blame.
The utter ignorance and arrogance in one tweet. The EU didn’t force brexit on Britain. Britain did that to itself. It’s had two years to sort this and hasn’t. And now idiots like this guy are looking to shift blame. Blame firmly belongs in House of Commons and Cameron May foster Johnson Farrage Mogg.
The astounding stupidity of the people claiming to lead the uk needs to be looked at and Parliament reformed after all this and the main actors brought to account

They’ve agreed to apply for extension. Carried by the opposition. Not Mays own party. Heads are spinning. Pointless vote once again. EU won’t grant extension without tangible achievable end result. Which there won’t be.
