The Meg and fantastic beasts also made more money. What’s your point?
All I can take from it is people are dumb and box office totals don’t equate to a films quality.
You know that though, right?
I hope you do.
It says:
1. A Star Wars movie set before ANH, with one original character (Chewbacca), and two characters from the OT that are being played by different actors doesn't appeal to general movie audiences and some SW fans.
2. Some people just don't care for SW anymore
3. SW fans (and general audience) went to see SOLO and didn't care enough about it for repeat theatrical viewings.

Meh.
To be fair if I had a dollar for every person I’ve seen saying they wished they’d gone to see it in the cinema rather than the home release, I could fund a sequel myself.
That’s not being contrarian. Been a constant remark the past 9 months or whatever it’s been on home release.
