I like both of these songs about equally. Hold On was a nice later in life gem from Ten (when I didn't ever expect to get anything else from that time period), and while it can't hold a candle to the better tracks of that era, I still quite enjoy it. And Eddie does well in this performance, but the music seems a bit thin.
While feeling simpler, this version of strangest tribe manages to capture the warmth of the studio version, and Eddie gives a really strong performance. I also like the quasi bootleg sound, which this track wears well. These are both rarities, but strangest tribe felt more like an event. That may be because the acoustic tracks generally have an advantage (they feel a bit rarer) but nonetheless.
good match yeah....Hold On...thats a song i dont listen much but i really like. Very strong performance too...but ill go with Strangest Tribe...they nailed the mood.
