Watched the first episode of Silicon Valley. There's a point where this show gets funny - because I've heard people talk about it and laugh at the same time - but I don't know when it happens. Is it like Parks & Rec where it takes a season?

it's a lot like Parks & Rec in that it has funny periods, and dull periods, and most of the characters are very one-note, so you'll either love 'em or hate 'em.

FWIW, I'm a big Mike Judge fan and I think Silicon Valley is the second-worst thing he's done, after The Goode Family

I just discovered the channel called Comet, which shows all old sci fi movies and TV. It's awesome

Probably A) contracts expiration and B) they don't have any of those shows done. Hell, they've barely started filming them.

The Good Place should be called The Great Place.

Just started this last night.

:heartbeat:

We’re only a few episodes on, but I’m REALLY liking it so far.

:hooray:

It's so FORKING good!

God, I love Ted Danson.

Wow. The second season is quite a departure so far.

I’m about halfway thru the first part of The Zen Diaries of Garry Shandling. Pretty cool stuff.

Apparently, Shandling was buds with Joe’s favorite comedian, Dave Coulier, back in the Comedy Store days.

Cut it out

He also became tight with Saget and they remained close until he died.

I would have murdered someone to have dinner and drinks with Saget and Shandling.

Ok. They stayed buds. Coulier is in this a lot.

After listening to the Ted Danson episode of the Armchair Expert podcast I had to watch the pilot as they discussed how 'perfect' the episode is. I have to agree, it was masterfully done. Maybe it's because of the serial nature of TV now but it's just nice to basically know what you're getting into right from the jump.
