I'm certainly not defending dime on this or anything BUT... there is the whole Yesus thing. Which is maybe where someone would get confused? Nope, that doesn't hold water.

The way he’s using it now is essentially the opposite of what dime was saying, by the way:
“I belive ye is the most commonly used word in the Bible. In the Bible it means you. So, I’m you. And I’m us. It’s us. It went from being Kanye, which means the only one to just ye, just being a reflection of our good, our bad, our confused — everything. It’s more of a reflection of who we are as beings.”

Yaweh is the original name for god. U2 even have a song about it haha
Yahweh[Notes 1] was the national god of the Iron Age kingdoms of Israel (Samaria) and Judah.[3] His exact origins are disputed, although they reach back to the early Iron Age and even the Late Bronze:[4][5] his name may have begun as an epithet of El, head of the Bronze Age Canaanite pantheon,[6] but the earliest plausible mentions of Yahweh are in Egyptian texts that refer to a similar-sounding place name associated with the Shasu nomads of the southern Transjordan.[7]

We still use it like that here. ‘What are ye doing tonight? Are ye going out?’ I’ve often used it here in rm
