I have found that I really respond to songs that are 4/4 and laid-back, but have that forward-motion kind of gallopy bass sound. Think of "One Headlight", or the song that is inspiring this thought right now: "Motion Sickness" by Phoebe Bridgers

You don't want to see my iTunes playlists. I unabashedly love the 80's and 90's popular music. It's literally what I grew up with so yeah, why wouldn't I?
So...Hawkwind. Is there a way to get into them? After listening to Henry Rollins blow them up on his episode about Lemmy I was like Alright, let's check this out. So far it's not exactly....good...but I'm still giving them the benefit of the doubt and listening to what I can. It's like if Peter Gabriel Genesis and Dio Black Sabbath tried to make tribute albums for each other by way of way early Pink Floyd.

To rephrase: Black Sabbath trying to make a Genesis album while Genesis tries to make a Black Sabbath album while both bands are trying to make a Pink Floyd album. It's spacy hard rock from the 70s.
