Was that really the first cycle in MLB postseason history?
It's pretty wild to think about, but it really is. Hitting for the cycle is comparable to no-hitters when it comes to frequency (299 no-hitters since 1875, 324 cycles since 1876). There have been only 2 no-hitters in postseason history, so having just one cycle matches up statistically. You gotta imagine that in the playoffs you're going to get better pitching, better defense, etc, so that makes it more difficult.
It's the reverse lock, fellas. Price has no business winning this game, but will and then bitch about it to the media that rightfully question his fortitude. He'll then lose another game that costs the Sox the series.
