AZ Wilderness has had a couple of "true" Goses that were done through fermentation. They were $9 for 10 oz. pours and were kinda gross.
yeah, i had one fermented gose that was disgusting, strong aromas of cat pee and lemon juice
The gose was still fermented but the souring was done via mixed (or possibly spontaneous) fermentation as opposed to souring in the kettle with Lacto. This method can be fairly dangerous to the equipment depending on the vessel, clearly takes longer and has far more risk but to all that one can be quite rewarded; that said it definitely takes a lot of experience produce a quality product.

Sours can be quite fantastic, just want to make sure you guys don't shy away due to past experience.

I've just started getting into sours, taking it slow and learning.
Also, because there are a million "craft" breweries everywhere now, the IPA market has really gotten shitty. Most of these places around here anyway are putting out shit

Ah the mark of AB-InBev... Space Dust was a mighty fine IPA at one point.

Not just Pale, English 80's Glam Metal Pale. None More Pale!
"We asked, how pale is pale? We decided this could be no Paler, everything else Pales in comparison."

This place asked me to take some pictures for free beer.
I declined.
My integrity isn't worth a couple of beers.
This place isn't great. Been twice now. It uses the same recipes from another brewery (SunUp) and re-brands them. They also do what they are calling "European" pours, which means a giant head on their beers. So $6 for 12 oz. pours. Food was also not great. Waitstaff was decent. I'm assuming they're getting blasted on social media and I don't want to pile on. They are a 10-minute walk from my house and I'd like to see them learn from their mistakes and get better. My bartender said they plan on doing their own brews in 6 months when a space opens that they are sharing with another new brewery. I'll return then.
