Absolutely. The hardcore Star Wars fan base wouldn’t even make up 2% or the overall total at the box office. It’s the casual fans and cinema goers are the overwhelming majority. They are t collecting black series figures or Star Wars lego n shit.

Do you think adults (18+) buy more Star Wars toys than kids these days? And I mean the adults are buying specifically for themselves or other adults, not parents buying stuff for their kids.
I think toys in general are being bought by older people more often than when I was a kid (1980s)

It’s nothing like the numbers it used to be not even close. Kids just don’t play with toys as much it’s all gone digital on pads and games. The small classic 3 1/4 inch figures are dropping off. Stuff like the black series figures and the collectibles from Kotobukiya / hot toys/ Sideshow are flying out the door. They’re not toys they’re scale figures with insane detail. Purely aimed at our age group. They’re not toys. However lego Star Wars sales for example? Through the roof and growing. And that encompasses kids and adults. And those kits are effin pricey. But lego is a great bonding thing father and son building lego Star Wars videos are all over YouTube. I’ve loads of friends do this with this kids.
Toys as a barometer of Star Wars in society, now, is flawed. The kids are playing Star Wars battlefront / lego Star Wars video games.

The game has totally changed.
You sure are curious for one so ambivalent:)
LOL, I guess I'm just kinda shell-shocked how apathetic I've become with SW after TLJ. It just left me so "blah" that I'm curious as to why I don't care anymore. I mean, I still love OT stuff but I'm just "eh" on the whole thing.
I still like discussing though

I’m gonna make a bold statement and say JJ is gonna land it safely and appease everyone. Nobody will be overly delighted (except me a few weeks later) but it’s gonna come home.
You can’t properly judge TLJ without 9 just like you couldn’t judge empire without ROTJ.

She is awesome and her list of movies is incredible...There were some really weird choices with SW but that wont take the fact that she is one of the most important producers of our era.

ADDENDUM: What do you think the percentage of those anti-SW/LFL/whatever youtube channels that are just trolling people for the heck of it? Like they don't actually believe the stuff they are talking about, but do it for the clicks/online celeb kick.

Considering how prevalent clickbait still is I'd say it's pretty good. Kind of like the QAnon thing - if it turns out to be true that it was all a hoax, that is.
