It's getting great reviews. Is it basically like their other albums, or have they changed something significant?
I'm not super familiar with their whole catalog, but I gather it's a significant departure. I saw someone refer to it as their "22 A Million" (most recent Bon Iver album). Sounds very choppy and processed compared to other stuff of theirs that I've heard.

Man, that's such a weird album. The ballads are among the prettiest melodies Malkmus has ever recorded and there's some pretty wild instrumental stuff going on in to kick the album off, but something about it all when taken together just doesn't keep my interest.

I could destroy any ai chatbot you put in front of me. Easily.
Adam's House Cat, Town Burned Down. Patterson Hood and Mike Cooley's pre-Drive By Truckers band's long-lost debut album finally got released last week. Pretty damn good. Has early versions of Lookout Mountain and Buttholeville. Paging Mr. Strat.
