PS1 classic coming Dec 3.

Not sure how interested I am at $129.99 CAN though. That might be the price point that convinces me to finally build a Pi. I also think that by the time we hit this era of video games, they stop looking retro and start looking really dated (probably the shift from sidescroll to 3D).

Maybe it's that push towards realism, not so much 3D that makes them look dated. Nintendo kept its games cartoony looking on the N64 and they still look ok today where the realistic looking games of the PS1 era have aged horribly.

That said, i might consider buying it if Tony Hawk 1 and 2 are on there.

If they are easy to find I might do it just to have one but I don't have any sort of nostalgia for PS1 games. I mostly just played sports games on it.
