Finally got around to watching Annihilation. Took me so long I kinda forgot most of the finer details of the book, but maybe that was for the best. Enjoyed the movie quite a bit.

Well the guy wrote it the same way you watched it - I'm not kidding - so that is probably the best way. It wasn't bad, I just really wanted to see the other two books eventually.
Watched Teen Wolf the other night - my wife is on an 80's kick or something, I dunno - and it's kind of not good. The effects from his first change are pretty poorly done but at the same time are pretty good considering how cheap the movie was. There was one bit that was 100% cringe-inducing when he's talking to Stiles about the wolf thing and he's all, "Don't tell me you're a fag, I couldn't handle if you were a fag" and he responds "No, I'm not a fag, as if". (the as if was implied by the huff at the end of the sentence)

I just read that somewhere -- apparently he read the book once then wrote the movie based on what he remembered without going back to it a 2nd time. Now I feel like I have to read the rest of the series.
