I’d really rather we not let this reach the point where 73% of Republicans believe that the Democrats/deep state/antifa snuck in and killed 3,000 people four months later in order to humiliate the president.

I think he’s building up to an insanity plea. If he’s mentally unstable he can walk off Scott free from anything he’s done the last 600 days. In fairness he is demonstrably unstable or playing the part perfectly.
