The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
I thought that at first, but no, it adds to the game.. you can do certain things (fight for more valuable gear and abilities) as your character gets stronger

After putting in a couple late night hours last night, I'm gonna put this stake in the ground: Injustice 2 is an A+ title. Thanks to user i got bugs for the rec.
Might be my overall #1 fighting game ever.. we had so much fun back in the day with mk, but they expanded the game so much n so well for replayability
That plus most fighting games had good fighters n ones you couldn't be at all.. I think in this most are pretty evenly balanced n good to use.. there's honestly only a few I completely hate and only a couple that are that much better than the rest

single player in I2 is stellar, btw. Both the story and the Multiverse (online component of constantly changing challenges) are super fun and rewarding (gear, abilities)

question for I Got Bugs on Injustice 2:
Are the gear items and augments static, and is leveling up fairly structured? Like, does everyone get the Flash boots with +20 defense? Or are are they randomly generated and is there a chance that some of these Epic items i'm getting at character level 4 will actually help me compete against a player who's leveled much higher?
I honestly have no idea if there's a rhyme or reason to anything
I know you can use tokens to upgrade low gear to your current level.. n it generates new stats.. but sometimes the come out worse
And yeah they'll definitely let you compete with higher level guys.. not sure to what extent.. I play the level 30 bosses with guys in the 20s (with good gear) and win
I feel like the system relies on projectiles too heavily. Also, fighting in the pocket is less flow-y. It's like a clunky game of paper, scissors, rock to me. With Tekken and Smash it's more like paper, spatula, scissor, stapler, is-that-a-fucking-feather-duster?, rock.
I love MK's attitude towards crossovers, though. It's miles ahead in that regard.
A lot of the good fighters have that flow you speak of
Not me tho haha
I don't get smash at all.. I'm trying n all.. got it to hold me over.. one minute I hate it, one minute I'm like this ain't so bad.. still prefer mk n injustice x1000 tho
