I’ve always liked that 2005 tour. This looks pretty great.
Was this not the ‘Instant Classic’ show?
nah, that was 2012.
this feels like a 'nice to have' show rather than a 'need to have' show. haven't listened to it in awhile, but i remember ed sounding awful at the beginning and the show not being very tight. i wonder if they'll keep the jeff/tester intros.
did this get put up when nugs released flacs of the 05 tour? if not, i guess that will be one benefit of this being used as a vault.

This was not rereleased on FLAC. The mp3s were leaked when PJ / Basecamp was testing their system.

just got through the main set and this is a worse performance than i remembered. this was before the gorge show, so was the first time playing in several months, and it shows. choice of this for vault seems more a choice of convenience than an inspired choice. why not the house of blues show at the end of the tour?

The Vault is the most exciting thing about Pearl Jam these days for me, this is the first one I've felt disappointed by - we only get one per year, so it's a long wait for the next one.
While I'll always prefer something from 1993-1998, there's plenty of other Cameron-era shows I would have chosen before this show. How about something from the otherwise unreleased 2004 or 2007 tours?

That's my memory too - it's hardly a standout performance, I remember it being pretty rough.
