Yeah this is pretty a much a boring draw. I guess I'll go with So Cold?

I'm voting for The Benjamins due to it being a guilty pleasure of mine, but I think TRUSTcompany is surprisingly well mixed for a shitty rock song. The rhythm section in the verses sounds great. It's essentially just a pop-punk song with heavier guitars, but yeah - better than some of the other awful shit in this tournament.

I actually heard So Cold on the XM nu metal station today, so that.

Gerunds in band names are lame. Vote for the other thing.

So Cold, I guess.

The other one was worse.

So Cold: Haha at the song title. Very boring song. What do you call the way he sings? It's stupid. I can't stand his face, either. 1:47.

Downfall: OMG this singer is the worst. I want to punch him. The song is irritatingly boring. 1:06.

Going with So Cold cause I hate the singer less.

I think the nu-metal tournament is breaking RM's record for most uses of the word "boring" within a concentrated series of posts

Was disappointed when I pressed play on Breaking Benjamin and didn't see the twins from Good Charlotte. Fuck you Breaking Benjamin! I'm voting for the other guys.

Didn't Billy Corgan or the Weezer guy write So Cold?

No, you’re thinking of “Stupid Girl” by the band Cold. Rivers Cuomo was involved with that.

It would be hilarious to slowly find out through this tournament that Rivers Cuomo was the secret mastermind behind the nu-metal movement

This must be what I remember. I recall thinking oh I should give them a try and then I listened.

Quote:
Breaking Benjamin returned to the studio in October 2003 with producer David Bendeth for their second album We Are Not Alone.[16] Burnley also worked with The Smashing Pumpkins front man Billy Corgan over the course of six days in December 2003 to write the songs "Rain", "Forget It", and "Follow".[17] Despite initially being nervous, Burnley felt it was one of the highlights of his career.[17]

I was done with this sort of stuff long before these two bands came around. This is like post post post grunge.

Impossible to not vote for a nu metal song/band with 'Cold' in its title.

I remember this news being posted on an SP message board when it occurred. I've been on the internet for far too long.

As much as I hate B.B., I do kind of like the chorus of “So Cold”.

Whoa.... I forgot about “Downfall”. I listened to this song a lot in 2002. Lol.

Kind of a Linkin Park retread
