I recently watched the Nu Metal episode of Metal Evolution. In it, David Draiman says he never identified with his Nu peers because while they were influenced by hip-hop, he was influenced by reggae. Now that's all I can hear in his vocals.

At one point in "Praise", the guy yelling underneath the lead singer shouts something that sounds like "She bangs!" and it makes me think of William Hung every time.

Anyway, neither of these songs do anything for me. I'll vote for "Voices" because the video is funny

I liked their cover of Black, otherwise I forgot Sevendust existed.

I'll vote for them here. The other one blows.

I'm not listening to Disturbed. Vote goes to Sevendust for the dreadlocks and the ethnic diversity.

I was a bit confused why Sevendust wasn’t being represented by more than one song. Waffle, Bitch, Black, they had some tunes.

Obviously going 7dust here.

Voices: These guys seem like parodies of themselves. I can't take them seriously and it just feels goofy and lame on every level. 1:50.

Praise: Not a fan of the music but I appreciate the singer.

Praise, easily.

Voting Sevendust to get some ethnic diversity in the next round.

My buddy met the Sevendust singer and had a drink with him at some bar. Did not shut up about that for a year.

“Voices” is the better song. I like both of these singers.

Hey, I remember that Sevendust song! I tended to enjoy hearing it on the radio when it was popular, or at least among most of the other tripe of the time. That tripe includes stuff like this Disturbed song, and in fact, probably all Disturbed songs. I see what can make them appealing to others, but I can't get past Draiman's histrionics. My vote goes to "Praise."

This was a great series.

There was an episode about death metal and black metal released only on torrents a couple years ago, I guess when it aired they left that episode out.
