Daft Twat's post from the 6/24 show got me thinking. I LOVE this band and can't believe I was lucky enough to grow up with them.
This might be a mergeable thread, but I thought we could put some great memories, moments, thoughts in here.
I put on the Yield Vinyl yesterday and as usual was blown by how great an album it is. I was basking in the sound quality when Wishlist came on. I was immediately thrust back to 7/11/03. Wishlist>Why Can't I Touch It, in the middle of that 45 song marathon, stood out as a highlight. Beautiful and moving, from Ed's noise making e-bow stuff to the, Boston lyric change, to that great sing along/sentiment in the tag.
On the Vote for Change tour. St. Louis. Ed and Tim Robbins lined up on opposite sides of the stage and charged each other and collided center stage. Ed fell down, all smiles. Tim was laughing like an idiot. It just seemed like everyone on stage was having the time of their lives. It was awesome and inspirational to me. That moment specifically, because of the frustration (politically) at the time.

When I'm in a bad place, I can still throw on any PJ album and feel better. Yes, even Backspacer. Doesn't matter. I love this band because they have given me so much and helped shape who I am.
