Man, I just can't get over how average to bad the combat in the Witcher 3 is. I'm playing on a PS4 Pro and it is chugging to even keep a steady frame rate. The lock on system is busted as hell and the animations look so robotic.

Going from games like Bloodborne and its precise combat to the Witcher is a tough move. I think it's easier to start with the Witcher and then go to games like Bloodborne and Nioh.
I really enjoyed the witcher, the story was awesome but man that combat gets old fast.

It honestly feels like an early PS3/Xbox 360 game. I can't get past it. I dread enemy encounters because of how clunky it is.
The story and writing are excellent however. A shame.
GTA San Andreas on PS4. i must have bought it ages ago and forgot to play it. this game has not aged well . Still one of my all time favs though.
What are the major signs of age outside of graphics?
Besides graphics, the other signs of age for me are that the driving controls and combat are clunky as hell. For example, driving a car is done with the X button, not the R2 as you'd expect. I'm sure that was always the case for these games and i got used to it at the time, but modern games have trained me to use R2. I'm a couple hours in and still hitting L2 expecting it to be the brakes and then i'll just crash into things .
But, really graphics are the big one obviously. The draw distance/fog are pretty bad and even on the PS4 textures load in and out randomly - put that might be a port issue. I can't recall my experience on PS2 for reference. The interiors are blocky and empty and everything is proportioned weirdly. I think this game is just screaming for an proper remaster. I'd pay for that.
Recently finished my MSc exams, so I celebrated with a 25 hour weekend marathon of War for the Overworld. I loved the original Dungeon Keeper games, and this is pretty much what it sets out to be: Dungeon Keeper 3.
Hoping to pick up some goodies in the Steam summer sale.

I don't recall the graphics being impressive at the time. It also was pretty framey.
Yeah, it is amazing how much driving/shooting/platforming has improved in open world games. Can you not change the control scheme?
