The stuff leading up to the fight is as good if not better than the battle itself.

Who is Stephens talking about, "the conspicuously, prominently unnamed Jedi master who trained Darth Vader"?

I’m not starting a thread for cos I don’t play but EA have just announced Jedi:Fallen order. Set after ROTS and featuring an as yet unnamed Padewan.

Now I know what you mean. I wonder does he even do research. He went on a ten minute ramble about there being no third lesson and it’s wasn’t even filmed it’s not even a deleted scene.

Eh yeah. It was.
I had to tweet him the link to it cos I’m an asshole like that.

In empire? The Rey learning from Luke and the Luke learning from Yoda dynamic is pretty similar in that regard, except Yoda doesn't give Luke a syllabus

Story and Star Wars is always so smart and thoughtful. I learn a lot listening. But there are times when I'm baffled by how completely he misses the point, especially regarding TLJ. It's strange. Maybe he just needs more time with the movie.

Anyway, I liked the episode. But he seemed all fucked up about the Luke question. Luke protecting his fall with the Force is not the moment he tunes back and reconnects too the Force. It's when he reaches out to Leia. That's pretty clear in the movie. I also think it's pretty clear why he goes to Ahch-To. It's explicitly stated that he goes there because it's one of hardest places to find in the entire galaxy. It's also HEAVILY implied that another reason he picks that place is because it's home of not only the first Jedi Temple but the house for the Jedi Texts. And he thinks it's time for the Jedi to end. And as such he wants to destroy those texts and the legacy. It's weird that he doesn't mention any of that.

I think he was pointing to your use of "either"

THANK YOU!!
I was sure it was just me but this episode had long stretches where I’m shaking my head going ‘did he see this film or read a synopsis???’ He really seems to have a blind spot or maybe just so certain of his own POV. Either way ugh.

Some good stuff too tho. He nailed exactly what’s wrong with Finns arc in the film for example. And the canto bight sequence to be fair

Isn't stip, like, an English teacher or something? Grammar is the first to go these days.

Although, Yoda didn't have to provide Luke a syllabus, and there were multiple Jedi in his life from whom to learn.
