yea, I am not enjoying this new Field Report :\
Honestly I really only love Blind Spot and Never Look Back (tracks 1 and 3), the rest is hit or miss. But I really, really love Never Look Back...

Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever have just released are about to release a new album, Hope Downs. I really enjoyed their first 2 EPs and on the strength of this opening single I have big hopes for this first long player.
Here's An Airconditioned Man. Check it out, you'll be glad you did.
New El Ten Eleven album, Banker's Hill is out August 10 on Topshelf Records. It's their first time working with an outside producer and releasing on a label that is not their own.
Preview track is called "Phenomenal Problems."
As a bonus, here's a video of them playing the song live in the house studio that the album was recorded in:

The new John Prine ("Tree of Forgiveness") is delightful.
damn, yeah it is. thanks. hadn't listened to a Prine album for many years (my dad and uncle are big fans).
We slept until 10am today -- which, if you've never tried it, holy shit it's awesome -- and then spun this while i made a big breakfast, windows open, warm air, birds chirping, the smells of coffee, pancakes, sausage, eggs...

I saw Prine last year in concert, and even in his old age, put on one of the best concerts I've ever seen. And I've seen him a bunch, too. Time to step your shit up, Pearl Jam.
Also, never pass up a chance to see Prine live

Nice. I actually wouldn't be surprised if he played MT sometime.
