I like the look of the two stouts. Good shit, Phat.
The stouts were fantastic. It was my first time with Peruvian Sunset. That didn’t disappoint at all. Central Waters’ Brewers Reserve series always come through with magnificent beers. This one fits the bill. And KBS is a staple at the top of the Stout food chain. It’s consistently wonderful. The bottle I drank last night was new, vintage 2018. I have at least one bottle (and typically a few bottles) of every vintage going back five or six years.

Like the color of that last one.
I need a sour today.
Sours are my favorite style right now. And that one from Surly is a new release that came out just a couple weeks ago. It’s super accessible to the palate while still being very interesting and quite delicious. Great sours can sometimes be quite challenging to find canned or bottled around here. Most breweries are just selling them in their tap room. So it’s been really nice to have this new one out and readily available. Can’t say that I love the $20/4pack price tag though.

I don’t pay much attention to IBUs anymore. I did a lot when I first got heavily into IPAs maybe 10 years ago. I used to seek out the highest IBU possible. Eventually I realized higher IBUs didn’t necessarily mean that I liked the beer any better. So I don’t even usually look anymore.
