Wasn't there an interview with Howard where he discussed that? It seemed like a politic answer of "I can't tell you what we changed, but we had to change 100% of everything because of director's guild rules. So the scenes were basically the same, just different enough (from angles to composition) to not be the other guys.

Han mispronounces Falcon throughout the OT. Sometimes it’s falcon as is pal, other times it’s falcon as is fall.
I had a friend from Falconer, NY and he pronounced Falcon as the "fall" version because that's how they pronounced the town name. You could blame his pronunciation on that at least, but the same person (Han) pronouncing it both ways is just weird.

Long before lord and Miller were fired someon involved said it was the best Star Wars script we’ve ever seen. And Howard stuck to the script as originally written by Kasdan. We could be in for a great time.

Just noticing. The main light strip. As in the OT falcon, the light strip on the sidewalls isn’t flush with the back wall. It’s not as ‘off’ as it is in a new hope but it’s close(its really off in a new hope)
Nicely done
(That’s some serious Falcon nerding but its indicative that they really really paid attention to detail on this)
