It's the intro from the cartoon. I don't get it though

I loved watching that as a kid. I guess I just didn't get the "what in Sam Hill" confusion

I just think it's an odd way to market the movie. I mean, it's super serious and then this is the ad campaign?

Though I do like the commercial. I see online people saying that WB should make a Super Friends movie and I would be all over that.

given how relatively unsuccessful the movie was it makes sense to try anything different.

WB, and to a lesser extent Fox, have really built their comic book properties around super serious movies. Given the struggles of DC, the success of Deadpool, and the MCU action comedy juggernaut (where even the serious movies like Winter Solider and Black Panther don't strike that joyless deadly serious tone) this take isn't the least bit surprising.

It's just a throwaway gag for a cute social media video. They're not basing their entire marketing campaign on "hey remember Superfriends?".

Also, when was this movie ever shown to be "super serious"? It's filled with terrible jokes, many of which were all over the trailers

High contrast lighting and darker/muted color schemes equal serious, plat.

well, by most accounts it started that way with Snyder and then Whedon came in to Superfriends it.

I don’t think it’s hyperbolic to say that watching this movie in its current form bruised my soul.

Also, digging into what was cut from Snyder’s version is causing me great anguish.

Everything about this movie feels ill conceived. The Whedon stuff is particularly awful but I have no confidence that an all-Snyder cut would be good

I have 100% confidence. You can see it hiding behind the shit WB released. Big chunks of it are there despite being compromised. And everything I’ve heard about his version and everything he’s said about it is exactly what I want.

I can't imagine liking either version. But I can imagine having a filmmaker that I love pulled off of a project before it's finished and having a lesser filmmaker (in my estimation) brought in to finish it. That would suck. Especially if all signs pointed to the original filmmaker making exactly the movie you wanted.

Between reediting Suicide Squad, butchering this, and nixing JL 2, WB has effectively fucked me out of three movies I guarantee I would love.

Has JL 2 been cancelled? Oof.

I think JL2 was cancelled after BVS. At least thats what i remember.

DC really fucked this one. Im sure Snyder´s version is way better and interesting than this one. Whedon ruined it.

i think joss is getting shit on too much for this. the real reason it tanked is they rushed everything trying to mimic marvels trajectory of success

i enjoyed both superman, bvs and wonder woman but justice league just seemed too rushed. flash and aquaman should have come out before JL. cyborg while looking good on paper just seemed out of place in the movie.

add to that the overwhelming CGI and it was a lot less than what it could have been. it had some great moments such as when bruce first meets wally, wally exploring the batcave and the banter between bruce and diana

this is a movie that should have come out three years from now with a wave of excitement building but instead it seems most knew it wouldnt live up to even half the expectations of avengers
