I was trading fairly often not too long ago, mostly through BeerAdvocate, but when the NE IPA can craze shifted the market I found it difficult to even read some ISOs let alone engage in a trade or a release. I moved to BeerExchange but really only for organizing my cellar, it's a great tool when you're bottle shopping and can also export to a spreadsheet. That being said I have contemplated getting back in to it a bit as I'm not popping nearly as many bottles on a consistent basis as I used to.
CT liquor laws are pretty shitty, though they have improved but I've found it rather difficult to get a consistent bottle share off the ground. I picked up four bourbon barrels from my local brewery and plan on fabricating a table, which will also get me to use a bunch of the tap handles I've acquired, around my pool table. Figure if I can't get a bar to host I sure as hell can.
I am also a big fan of sours however I've definitely been tending to avoid most kettle sours, many are incredibly one dimensional from breweries that basically struggle to make a brew that is actually balanced.

I’m drinking Ballast Point Sour Wench out of a plastic hotel cup while watching the Olympics on an almost inaudible level with all the lights out so my kids can sleep in the hotel room we rented for the weekend because of traveling for a basketball tournament. The beer is good.

I'm looking for a good, well rounded stout. Any recommendations for something I can find here in the Midwest?
North Coast Old Rasputin, Coopers Extra Stout, Guinness Foreign Extra, Boulevard Dark Truth, Founders Breakfast, Bells Expedition, Samuel Smiths Oatmeal Stout, Imperial Stout, Porter
Edmund Fitzgerald (porter), Victory Storm King Stout, Duck Rabbit Milk Stout (I think they distribute to Tennessee might be closest to you)
