Speaking of backstories:) the new canon books have been mostly excellent. This will be fun reads

Today, the waiting ends.

Coming April 17th, STAR WARS: LAST SHOT by Daniel Jose Older

Last Shot is a Han and Lando novel taking place over multiple time periods, including Post-Return of the Jedi, and between Solo and A New Hope. This epic story features Lando, Han, Leia, young Ben Solo, Sana Starros and many others.

Check out the covers below. Yes, we said covers. But there aren't two editions, the book features a reversible jacket. One side Han, the other Lando. One book jacket, two awesome covers, and one amazing Star Wars story.

Pre-order pages will be up this weekend. You'll be able to pre-order the book in hardcover, ebook and audio book.

That kid from Ready Player One looks more like a young Han Solo than this one.

That kid looks really really like my boyfriend. It’s unsettling. I’m not kidding.

That’s worrying to me. Lebowski is one of those films that I’m completely impervious to. I just can’t get into it. I have tried.

Meh. Such influences/conversations are only really meaningful to the Kasdans. I wouldn't worry about it.

Interesting to note Solo was in production before any of the new films. Before the sale to Disney even. Kasdan was writing Solo and pulled off for TFA.

Actually, that helps explain maybe a bit more why Lucas was on set and (perhaps) a bit more actively involved for it than he has been for the others.

‘Women always figure out the truth. Always’.

‘I’m the only one who knows what you are’.

Are we seeing a through line here under Kasdans hand? Wouldn’t that be delicious?

Dime, is the guy in the mask featured in the trailers as the villian on top of the train and in the desert shoot out scene from the trailer Bobba Fett before he decides to wear the mandalorian armor?
