Someone tried to explain it to me but I forget. It didn't make a ton of sense. Something about off-setting the cost of year-round avocado farming and the environment with investing? Something like that. I don't know. But there was a New York Times article about it some months ago.

thats crazy, i must have missed that article..my neighbor has an avacado tree and some of them drop onto my property and my dog will eat them sometimes..i haven't tried one of them yet
