i wonder if they have enough finished for at least an EP
or will they become one of those bands that spends the next 10 years in court with the lead singer's widow

Hopefully they can work up the album from what they have. Just depends on how many vocal takes Chris made. From what I can gather they had about half a dozen tracks finished - whether that means written or recorded, I'm not sure. Did Chris record proper vocal tracks for those or just rough guides etc.
Might be a fitting tribute to Chris to complete the album with Peter Cornell singing whatever Chris hadn't? I'm not saying tour that line-up, just finish the album like that and call it a day.
Also, I really hope that the old stuff (84-87) which Kim said in May 2017 would be released, actually does get released. Hopefully Vicky doesn't interfere with the bands' plans.

Maybe there is enough material recorded for a final EP. Just rough recordings orso. Release it with that early days recordings. Two EP's or something. Or a double disc.
I don't think Vicky Cornell will interfere much with the band. His solo recordings however.....
In the next couple of years we can expect those last Soundgarden recordings. Maybe those first Soundgarden recordings that Kim hinted at a couple of times. There's are unreleased Audioslave tracks. So we can expect those... And we can probably expect a shitload of solo stuff being released. Like the Jeff Buckley family did...
Those first SG songs may come yeah. Im not sure if they finished vocals though...i dont think the band will release whatever they had for their new album. Audioslave has a few b sides and outtakes and demos to officially release. And i guess he had lots of demos and stuff from his solo career over the years.
Long time lurkers, first time posters, but we just wanted to let anyone in the New York area who might be interested know that this Friday Singlecut Beersmiths in Astoria will be featuring a two hour performance by us, Euphoria Mourning, paying tribute to Chris Cornell, Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple Of The Dog. It's a free show, so if you're in the neighborhood, please stop by and check it out. We hope you'll like it.

He was recording a covers album with Brendan O'Brien which I assume is where his cover of Nothing Compares 2 U comes from. I hope more songs from those sessions get released someday.

Yes, the song is great, but its tough.
Oh my God! What a beautiful song! I teared up almost instantly from the simultaneous feeling of hearing a “new” Cornell track and knowing it was a posthumous release. This would have been a highlight on the next Songbook tour.
Apologies for the spam again, but our band, Euphoria Mourning: Celebrating the Music of Chris Cornell, has a couple of new dates lined up for the spring and we wanted to let you all know about them.
First up is Friday May 18 at the Chance Theater in Poughkeepsie NY opening up for People Of The Sun, a Rage Against The Machine tribute.
Next up is a headlining gig on Saturday June 2 at DingBatz in Clifton NJ.
If you guys are free, please come check out the show!
There are some more dates in the pipeline, and we're really hoping we can land something for July 20, Chris's birthday. If you have any leads...
